How much does MyKidReports cost?

Our pricing starts at $9/month. Check out our Pricing Page for more information. We don't have pushy sales people and believe in a transparent pricing policy & don't require our customers to contact sales to “Request a Quote”. You pay what you see.
Oh, and every feature is available in every pricing plan. You just pay based on the number of children in your center. Check out our Pricing Page.

I cant believe your pricing, what's the catch?

There is no catch. You pay what you see. One request though, If you can spread the word & give us positive feedback, we will be grateful to you.

This sounds really great, but can I afford to get on board?

You can't afford not to! For most programs, the savings on printing costs alone will pay for both MyKidReports and tablets. You will experience significant time savings with classroom documentation and parent communications, and occupancy rates will improve with this unique offering.

Does MyKidReports provide customer support?

Yes! Not only do we provide support, but we provide AMAZING customer service. When you join MyKidReports you become part of our community, which means we take care of you. Contact us and we'll be happy to chat with you!

What if my families have questions about MyKidReports?

What types of hardware does the MyKidReports program work on?

MyKidReports works on all tablets, your home or office computer or laptop, as well as your smartphone. This means you can access it anytime, anywhere and at a price that works for you. We currently have programs using MyKidReports on Android, and iOS (Apple).

What if my families have questions about MyKidReports?

What tablets do you recommend?

You can see our list of recommended tablets here! Please note, we do not support Amazon Fire tablets of any sort.

Are my staff going to spend more time on MyKidReports and less time with the children?

In our extensive research, this was a common concern, which is why we designed the solution to be very quick for use in the child care environment. Child care and early learning programs that use MyKidReports tell us over and over again how much time they save using MyKidReports.

They tell us it is unequivocally faster, allowing them to spend more time with the children in their programs.

Can you import my data from another system that we use?

Yes. You can upload your Child Roster from any app that you currently use. Just Send us a note & we will be happy to walk you thought it.

As a director or supervisor, can I see what my staff are doing on MyKidReports?

Yes. You can access all of your classrooms from any device to see what is happening in real-time.

We have multiple sites. Can I see what's happening across all my locations?

Yes, MyKidReports is designed to be used on a regional and national level, so that central operations directors can stay abreast of activities across multiple locations with a single login.

Will MyKidReports replace the paper daily sheets I provide to my parents?

Yes. For your younger age groups you can record activities such as sleep times, fluid and food intake, potty and diapering, all of which will be summarized in a daily report for parents.

Can I document developmental observations for my emergent curriculum programs?

Yes. MyKidReports contains learning domains, skills and indicators that you can quickly and easily associate with a developmental observation made with a photo or video. For example, we have Montessori programs that use proprietary Montessori frameworks and many of our programs in Ontario use the ELECT / OELF Continuum of Development. The framework is customizable to fit the needs of your program.

Where is data stored and is it secure?

MyKidReports data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure. It is one of the most secure cloud computing environments available with highly secure data centers utilizing state-of the art electronic surveillance and access control systems, including 24x7 trained security guard protection. It is suited to run sensitive government applications and is used by over 300 U.S. government agencies, as well as the Navy, Treasury and NASA. Is the MyKidReports website secure?

MyKidReports has a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate. SSL is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the MyKidReports servers and our customer's browsers remain private and integral. SSL is an industry standard for securing online transactions so is used by online banking and payments sites and, similarly, is used by MyKidReports to encrypt our customer's data transfers containing children's information.

Who has access to my data and is it private?

MyKidReports takes privacy very seriously. All photos and videos of a child are posted only to the accounts of the parents or guardians of the child. No one else can access this information without express consent being provided by the parents or guardians. All account passwords are encrypted for additional security. For further information, please see our privacy policy.

Is my information backed up?

Yes, all of your information is automatically backed up on a daily basis.

What happens to a child's information if they leave or graduate from our programs?

You can set that child to inactive, however, you will still be able to access their profile and all of the associated records and reports.

How is MyKidReports different from webcams?

Some of the many ways in which MyKidReports is different from webcams is that information provided to parents is specific to their child, you control the information provided to parents to educate them as opposed to simply observing, it makes existing documentation practices more efficient, and it provides you with digital records to replace paper records. Parent FAQ
My child care provider just added me, what do I do next?

Once your daycare adds you on MyKidReports, you'll receive a Welcome email from us with instructions to setup your account credentials. If you've already received a Welcome email, click the link in the email to set up your login!
Missing your Welcome email? Do the following
- Check your inbox for an email from MyKidReports. (Don't forget to check your spam/junk folder!)
- Not in our system? Contact your center and verify that they've entered the correct email without typos.
If after confirming your address with your center you still haven't received a Welcome email, have your center reach out to us with your email address to diagnose the issue. Due to privacy restrictions we cannot add anybody to a child's profile.

I can't log into my account.

How do I change the email address that I get updates to from my child's daycare provider?

Log into MyKidReports using your existing email. In the top right corner, select your name to access the drop-down menu, then select 'My Settings' to enter and confirm your preferred email address.

Open up your MyKidReports app and look for the message(envelope) icon.

How do I get an answer to a question that's not on this FAQ page?

Billing
Who has access to a child's invoice?

Any contacts registered as a parent or guardian on a child’s profile will be able to view invoices.

How do parents receive and view invoices?

Parents will receive an email when a new invoice has been generated. They will be able to view all invoices from within the MyKidReports Parent app or by logging into the MyKidReports website.

How do I cancel an invoice?

If an invoice was created in error, it can be Voided/Canceled before it is marked as Paid. Parents will be able to view all cancelled invoices.

Can parents get tax receipts from MyKidReports?

Parents can get their Statement by logging into our website https://MyKidReports.com.

If a parent replies to an invoice email, where is the reply sent?

When parents reply to the invoice, their message will be sent directly to the center administrator's Message Center inbox. If necessary, you can Update Administrator Information to change the recipient of invoice-related emails.

How can I send a receipt to parents?

Parents will be able to view their paid invoices from the MyKidReports app or through the MyKidReports website, but you can also email them a receipt.

How do I set up online payments?

It's quick and easy to get set up to make online payments to your program. Add a bank account or credit card, and you're ready to make payments!

How do I set up and manage autopay?

Enabling autopay is a great solution to ensure tuition is paid on time, every time.
Billing autopay functions much like other automated payment systems and will charge the default payment method for the full balance due on the due date of each invoice or statement. It’s important to note that there can be multiple payment methods on file, but autopay will always trigger using the default payment method.

Some programs choose to enable Mandatory Autopay, and some do not. If autopay is not mandatory, parents and payers can manage these settings easily from the web or app. Learn more by viewing our Manage Autopay resource.

When/where are receipts sent?

Receipts are sent to the email on file once payment is successfully processed. For payments made using a credit card, this should occur pretty quickly. For payments made using an ACH method, this could be up to 5-7 business days after making the payment.

If you need to see a full history of all payments made in a given timeframe, you can pull a payment summary report for the desired date range. You can also view and print any desired invoices as needed.

How do I access the info I need for tax/reimbursement purposes?

Payers can access financial reports for tax or reimbursement from within their MyKidReports account by printing individual invoices or statements. 

Can I stop a payment?

Unfortunately, no. If you have made a payment that is currently in a 'Pending/Processing' status, neither MyKidReports nor the program you've paid can cancel/stop the pending charge. For your program to take any action on the payment, it must reflect a status of 'Paid.'
We recommend working directly with your program to obtain any refunds when able. It's important to note that MyKidReports is not responsible for any overdraft or processing fees due to processed payments.

What are my processing fees?

Our payment processor, charges processing fees for each individual online payment. Programs do have the option to pass on any processing fees associated with online payments to the parent. If your program has enabled this setting, you will see the processing fees added to your total payment when clicking the Make a payment button in your MyKidReports account.
Pre-paying on a student’s account will not change or prevent processing fees from being charged, as the fees are in regard to the actual transaction, not a MyKidReports student’s balance.

We recommend contacting your provider directly for more information about their processing fee policies! MyKidReports has no control over this; it is a determination made independently by your provider. MyKidReports offers a wide variety of features and options, and ultimately it is up to each provider to determine their own policies and procedures.

How do I get a refund?

We recommend that you reach out to your program directly regarding this. MyKidReports is not authorized to make any changes to any account. Your program is responsible for creating and managing all transactions (including charges, refunds, late fees, credits, and offline payments) and will be able to assist you!

How long will a refund take to return to my account?

Contact your provider about their refund policy.

Do refunds include processing fees?

rograms have the choice of whether or not to pass processing fees to payers. MyKidReports ultimately has no control over this because it is a determination made independently by providers. MyKidReports offers a wide variety of features and options, and ultimately it is up to each provider to determine their own policies and procedures.
Unfortunately, we cannot return processing fees associated with successful payments as these fees go directly to our payment processor.
Contact your program directly to determine if they have any option to assist you further in this scenario.

Why am I getting errors when trying to add my FSA/HSA payment method?

FSA/HSA/Dependent Care accounts are potential options that can be added to a parent's brightwheel account to make payments to a program. It's important to note that each program can choose what type of payments they'd like to accept (ACH and Credit/Debit cards or ACH only), and these settings may limit how certain FSA/HSA/Dependent Care accounts can be utilized.
Due to the nature of FSA providers and their specific regulations or requirements, there may be some others factors limiting your ability to use this payment method. If you have the option to add your FSA/HSA account but are experiencing trouble doing so, please follow our Troubleshooting steps so we can try and assist you further.

Why am I still being charged by a program my child no longer attends?

We understand how frustrating this scenario might be and highly recommend contacting your old program directly regarding any unexpected charges. Since your old program is responsible for creating and managing all transactions, they will be the best resource to assist you in how to resolve this matter.
