A real Check-in Kiosk with QR code & 6-digit codes. Room Device Mode for the classroom. Custom check-in questions. Captured signatures. Live ratios, bulk check-in, photos & signatures stored on every record, and state-ready reports. You set it up once. It runs itself.
Three layers do the work: the kiosk at your front door, the room device inside the classroom, and the autopilot that turns every check-in into ratios, fees, reports, and reminders.
Mount any tablet at your door. Choose QR scan, 6-digit code, or both. Add custom questions and require signatures if you want them.
They scan the QR or tap their code. Answer the questions. Sign. The room device updates instantly. Ratios update in real time.
Activity posts reach parents. Subsidy hours roll into billing claims. Reports compile themselves. Licensing visits stop being scary.
Every check-in connects to a child record, a classroom, a ratio, a subsidy hour, an authorized-pickup list, and a licensing report.
Two locked-down device modes. Mount a Check-in Kiosk at the front door for parents. Drop a Room Device tablet into each classroom for teachers. Neither can access the rest of the admin.
Every classroom shows its current teacher-to-child ratio at the top. Slip out of ratio and the room turns red, the dashboard alerts, and staff get notified.
Daily wellness check, allergy update, who’s picking up — ask anything. Capture a signature on every drop-off and pickup. Timestamped, stored on the record.
Set who’s allowed to pick up each child — parent, grandparent, nanny. Sign-out only goes through if the person checking out is on the authorized list.
Filter the room view by status, select multiple kids, check them all in or out at once. Perfect for field trips, half-days, and the start of the day.
Daily roster, monthly summary, signatures log, ratio compliance, subsidy hours — ready to export the second your inspector walks in.
Every classroom has its own page. The current ratio sits at the top. Tabs flip between Students, Staff, and the activity feed. Search by name, sort however you like, filter by attendance status, then bulk check-in or check-out a whole group with one button. Every row has the family member who can pick up and a one-tap link to email login details or share the check-in code.
Set up custom check-in questions once and they show up at every drop-off and pickup. Daily wellness, symptom screening, sunscreen consent, who’s authorized to pick up today, allergy updates, special instructions for the teacher. Yes/no, multiple choice, or free text. Require a signature from the parent or staff member — finger-signed, timestamped, saved to the child’s record.
This is what makes Attendance feel automatic. The kiosk doesn’t just record who walked in — it triggers ratio updates, parent activity posts, subsidy hour tracking, and licensing report rows. By the end of the day you don’t reconcile attendance. You just look at it.
Generic kiosk apps capture a name and a time. Attendance does the math, the alerts, the questions, the signatures, and the reports.
Walk through the Check-in Kiosk, Room Device Mode, custom questions, signatures, and the autopilot setup that runs every day.
The Check-in Kiosk is a tablet you set up at your front door. Parents and staff check in two ways: scan a QR code displayed on the kiosk screen with their phone, or type their unique 6-digit code on the on-screen number pad. The kiosk has its own login email so the tablet stays in kiosk mode and can’t access the rest of the admin dashboard.
Room Device Mode locks a tablet to a single classroom. Staff in that room see only their students, can mark check-ins and check-outs in bulk, post activities, and watch the live ratio for that room. The kiosk is for parents at the front door; Room Device Mode is for teachers inside a classroom.
Option 1: School-owned kiosk — you mount a tablet at the door, parents scan the QR or enter their 6-digit code. Option 2: Print the QR — print and post the QR code on a wall, parents scan it from their own phone. Option 3: Staff-only check-in — if you don’t want parents touching anything, staff handle every check-in from their device or from Room Device Mode.
Yes. You can require parents (or staff) to answer questions at every check-in or check-out. Daily wellness checks, symptom screening, sunscreen consent, drop-off instructions, allergy updates, who’s picking up today — anything you’d ask on a paper form. Multiple-choice, yes/no, or free text.
Yes. Signatures are an option on the kiosk and in the parent app. The signed image is timestamped and saved to the child’s attendance record — ready for licensing visits. You can require signatures for check-in only, check-out only, or both.
From the room view, set the Attendance Status filter (Show all, Checked-in, Checked-out, Absent) and select multiple students. One click checks them all in or out together. Useful for the start and end of structured days like field trips, half-days, or scheduled events.
Each room has its own required teacher-to-child ratio. MyKidReports counts checked-in students and clocked-in staff in real time. The room view shows the current ratio at the top, the dashboard shows it across all rooms, and you’ll get an alert the moment a room slips out of ratio.
Once you set up the kiosk, the questions, the signature requirements, and your ratio rules, the system runs itself. Parents check in and out on their own. Ratios are watched in real time. Activity posts reach parents instantly. Attendance reports compile automatically. Subsidy hours roll into subsidy claims. State licensing reports are ready when you need them. You don’t manage attendance — you just watch it run.
Open MyKidReports free, mount a tablet at your front door, and turn on the Check-in Kiosk. Your QR code, 6-digit codes, custom questions, signatures, ratios, and reports all kick in — from day one.
