Daily Reports

Daily reports that send themselves.

The childcare app for daycare and preschool teachers — from infant daily reports through preschool. Set Daily Reports up once: turn them on, pick when they go out (when a child checks out, or at a specific time), and you’re done. The report assembles itself from your day’s logs — meals, naps, mood, activities, photos — and shares automatically with parents in the parent app. See daily reports ›

  • Configure once in Daily Reports Preferences — toggle on and pick a sharing rule
• Two sharing options: Once they check out or At a specific time
  • Reports assemble automatically from your day’s meal, nap, mood, activity, and photo logs
  • Works the same for infants, toddlers, and preschool rooms

Parent Messaging

Send a photo. Make their whole day.

Built-in secure messaging for daycares and preschools — a quick photo or text to one parent, the whole room, or just your director. No more screenshots, separate apps, or “did you get my text?” calls. Every message lives where families already get their daily reports, and your director sees the same conversation from the admin view. See messaging ›

  • Photo or text to one family, your whole room, or your director — you decide per message
  • Two-way replies — parents can write back from the parent app
  • Director sees the same conversation from their admin view (no extra forwarding)

Attendance

Parents sign in at the kiosk. You only step in if they don’t.

Daycare attendance built for the way teachers actually work. Parents check their child in and out themselves at the front-desk kiosk, so attendance logs automatically — no clipboard, no paper sign-in sheet. If a parent skips the kiosk, you can log it from your tablet in one tap. The director’s roster updates live, room ratios refresh in real time. Free for up to 5 children — never expires. See attendance ›

  • Parents check in/out at the front-desk kiosk — logged automatically
  • If a parent forgets, you log it in one tap from your tablet, phone, or web browser
  • Live room ratio shown at the top so you always know where you stand

Teacher questions

What teachers ask before they try it.

Real questions from classroom teachers during demos. If yours isn’t here, ask us directly.

How long does it take a teacher to learn?+

The teacher view is intentionally simple — sign-in/out, log meals and naps, send a parent update. Most teachers get the hang of it the same day they start using it, no training class required. The childcare app for teachers is designed for tablet use during a busy day, not for sitting at a desk after hours.

Do I have to send each daily report manually?+

No. Open Daily Reports Preferences once, turn Daily Reports on, and pick when they’re shared with parents — either once a child checks out, or at a specific time. From then on, reports assemble automatically from your day’s logs (meals, naps, mood, activities, photos) and share themselves. You can still add a quick photo or note any time during the day. This works the same for infant daily reports (bottles, diaper changes, naps) through preschool (lunch, activity, mood).

Does it work on a tablet in the classroom?+

Yes. MyKidReports runs on any tablet, phone, or web browser. Most centers set up a kiosk tablet at the front desk so parents can check kids in and out themselves, and keep a tablet in each room so teachers can log activities and step in for daycare attendance if a parent forgets — without leaving the floor. There’s no separate device or login to set up — just open the browser or app.

Can I send a photo to one parent privately?+

Yes. Photos and messages can go to all parents in your room, just one family, or just to your director. You decide per message. The secure messaging in the app is built so directors and teachers see the same conversation, but families only see their own.

Will I get spammed with notifications?+

No. Teachers see only what’s relevant to their classroom. Director-level alerts and admin work stay on the director’s view, not yours. You can also adjust your own notification preferences from the teacher app — mute non-urgent ones, keep incident and pickup alerts on.

Do I need to log incidents formally?+

For licensing-level events, yes — but the form takes seconds. Tap incident type, who was involved, and what you did. The director sees new incidents from their admin view, and parents are notified through the parent app, so you don’t have to track down a paper form.

Less paperwork. More time with your kids.
