How to track daycare attendance
Write each child's name once, then mark P (present) or A (absent) every day. Many centers also write arrival and departure times on a sign-in and sign-out sheet, which licensing often requires. Keep attendance records for as long as your state and any child care subsidy program require.

What should a daycare attendance sheet include?

Is an attendance sheet the same as a sign-in sheet?
No. An attendance sheet shows who was there each day. A sign-in and sign-out sheet records arrival and departure times and who dropped off and picked up, which many states require.
